Profit Spotlight 3.0 is an upgrade to the famous Profit Spotlight software. It’s a market research tool that helps you pick products to sell on Amazon. With this new version, developer Matt Clark has retained all the benefits of the first version, but made the Amazon buying and selling process even easier.
Choosing the Right Product on Amazon
When looking for products to sell on Amazon, you need to look at three main criteria: price, reviews and bestseller rank. To find a list of Amazon’s current top-selling products, do a Google search for “Amazon best sellers” and click on the first link. Once you’re on Amazon, you’ll see a list with the top 100 bestselling products. Next, click on a category and check out its top 100 bestselling products.
The first thing you need to to do sell products on Amazon is to find a product that sells well. You can always browse through categories and top-selling products to find something. But when you do it, remember that choosing an Amazon product is like a race. The lower the number, the better the product, and the higher its chances of being successful on Amazon.
The second criterion to consider when choosing a product on Amazon is price. Aim for a product priced between $7 and $60. If you sell products for less than $7, you run the risk of not earning enough profit to build a business. If you consider packaging, labeling and all the extra stuff, there won’t be much money left for you. On the other hand, if your product costs more than $50, purchasing enough inventory to get you started might be too expensive. If you’re looking at a product that sells for $1000 on Amazon, you might need to spend more than $500 just to acquire the product. For 4 units, you’ll have to pay $2000 just for 4 units of inventory up front. Ouch!
The third criterion is the total number of reviews. Look for products with fewer than 1,000 reviews. This means that the product is not competitive yet. A product in the top 100 bestselling products in your niche that costs between $7 and $50 and has less than 100 reviews might be an excellent product to choose.
Private Label Potential
This criterion is explained more detail in the following videos about Profit Spolight 3.0. However, it’s important to pay attention to private label potential, as it plays a critical role in your business. Private label potential means that you don’t sell other peoples’ brands. For instance, selling iPhone is not a good idea, because you will be competing with other sellers. You want to private label your own products, so only you can sell that product.
Profit Spotlight 3.0 – An Amazingly Powerful Tool
Inside the dashboard, you have a complete list of the best Amazon products in each niche. If you choose the Beauty niche, you’ll see a list of Amazon’s top-ranked beauty products, along with product images, price, number of reviews, hot list, estimated sales and an official score. The results are slightly different than Amazon’s, but extremely close. The official score is based on an algorithm created by the Profit Spotlight 3.0 team, which ranks products based on all product criteria. The higher the score, the better.
